Dori has graduated from the University of St. Cyril and Methodius, Skopje, Faculty of Law in 1985 attaining her LL.B degree. After passing her bar exam in 1994 she was admitted as a member of the Macedonia Bar Chamber the same year.Before establishing her own legal practice in January, 1995, she used to work as a legal adviser with “Kim Consulting” Ltd Skopje, a leading consulting company involved in the major privatization and corporate restructuring cases in the Republic of Macedonia.
Her vision, leadership and determination led her law firm being widely accepted as one of the Macedonian leading law firms in the field of business law. Her focus on providing high level services to clients was highly sought after.
Dori has over 29 years of experience in corporate and commercial area of practice.
She advises many Macedonian, foreign and international clients, providing legal assistance in various matters arising from their everyday business activities, with a focus to the implementation of corporate governance as per Macedonian Law on Trade Companies, drafting shareholders agreement, providing legal assistance in resolving the disputes among shareholders, and shareholder/s and company. Also, carrying out due diligence reviews in the context of all types of transactions, including initial public offering, mergers and acquisitions.
She also works regularly with clients to develop strategies to avoid or limit the scope of litigation.
Dori’s practice and expertise complements drafting of all kinds of commercial agreements, its negotiations and documentation in compliance with the regulatory requirements of the industry involved.
Employment law matters are also part of her area of practice. She has remarkable score of zero cases of when assisting her clients in procedure for termination of the employment on the side of employer, employees haven’t even started court procedure for annulment, which is regular continuation of terminating employment in practice.
Dori’s expertise also involves intellectual property protection. She holds a license for industrial property protection before the State Office of Industrial Property and Courts.
The most important in this area of her expertise is the fact that she is one of the initiators for bringing into life the entity for collective management of the phonogram producers’ and performers’ rights in Republic of Macedonia, providing continuous legal support thereon. Working together with few well known music rights holders she has significantly contributed to the process of establishing and implementing collective management of the rights of music producers and performers in Republic of Macedonia which has gain her international professional reputation in the field.
The wide recognition as a high quality professional in a field of business law has been confirmed by Dori’s continuous appointment as a member of supervisory boards of trade companies, and the managing boards of many professional associations and chambers of commerce in RM.
